about

Holocene is the debut project of Postmodern Machine. It’s 23 minutes have a distinct cinematic quality and are simultaneously bouncy and evocative. Each track stands solidly on it’s own, a story to digest; yet they fit together smoothly as part of a larger narrative. Postmodern Machine’s attention to detail and ear for emotion draw the listener in and lets them connect to the journey with ease.

Created in a Kitchener ON studio originally designed for his scoring and soundtrack projects, this hyperlocal EP includes album art and a video by local filmmaker Torin Langen, and vocals by local artists. The shape that Holocene has taken, however, is anything but local – it is an experience for wherever you are.
